Dr. Archie P. McDonald

has served as Executive Director and Editor of the East Texas Historical Association since 1971. The author of dozens of books and articles on Texas history, he is Regents' Professor of History at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Mrs. Portia L. Gordon

has served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the East Texas Historical Association since 1995. In addition to her other duties, Mrs. Gordon is actively involved in coordinating ETHA meetings, special events, and the publication of the East Texas Historical Journal.
