Calvin Paschal "Pat" Barton

A RESOLUTION
HONORING THE LIFE OF
CALVIN PASCHAL "PAT" BARTON

Calvin Paschal "Pat" Barton passed away on January 25, 2001 in Nacogdoches.

A true son of East Texas, Pat was born in Cushing July 7, 1934 and taught mathematics at Stephen F. Austin State University for thirty-two years.

He and his wife Marilyn were the first to purchase a "Family Membership" in the East Texas Historical Association, and he was a frequent reviewer of books for the East Texas Historical Journal.

Pat was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches and was active in the Kiwanis Club. He was also a member of the Mathematical Association of America and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Pat leaves behind Marilyn, son Cal, and daughter Yancy.
