Civil War Conference: The University of Houston - Victoria and Victoria College will host The Civil War in Texas: Changing Interpretations After 150 Years. The event will be held on campus. Registration is $10. Friday dinner will be held on the grounds of the Museum of the Coastal Bend with Carol Taylor of Greenville as the featured speaker on Ranching in South Texas during the Civil War .
Dr. Richard McCaslin of the University of North Texas will be the featured speaker for the Saturday luncheon. (The Friday dinner and Saturday luncheon will be additional charges.) In addition to these speakers, the conference will have nine panels with twenty-five speakers.
