A RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF

Greg Beil

 

WHEREAS Greg Beil, born on September 21, 1938, departed from this life on December 7, 2008 in Marshall, Texas; and

WHEREAS Greg Beil, attended Oklahoma State University and the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry at Johannes Guttenberg University in Mainz ; and received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Physics and Theoretical Physics; and

WHEREAS, Greg Beil taught at Wiley College and East Texas Baptist University; and

WHEREAS, Greg Beil collaborated with Texas Tech University investigators to develop a theoretical model for quantum computing ; and

WHEREAS, Greg Beil was a good friend and long-time supporter of the East Texas Historical Association;

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the membership of the East Texas Historical Association laments the passing of this "good and faithful servant" on December 7, 2008, extends sympathy to his family and friends; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Annual Meeting and another presented as is appropriate to the family of Greg Beil, that they may know of the love and esteem in which he is yet held by all.
