A RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF

Priscilla Benham

 

WHEREAS Priscilla Benham, born in 1939, departed from this life on March 9, 2009 in Houston, Texas; and

WHEREAS Priscilla Benham, attended Baylor University and University of Houston; and received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in History; and

WHEREAS, Priscilla Benham taught American history at University of Houston, Cy-Fair College, North Harris Community College and University of Houston-Downtown; and

WHEREAS, Priscilla Benham was a good friend and long-time supporter of the East Texas Historical Association;

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the membership of the East Texas Historical Association laments the passing of this "good and faithful servant" on March 9, 2009, extends sympathy to her family and friends; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Annual Meeting and another presented as is appropriate to the family of Priscilla Benham, that they may know of the love and esteem in which she is yet held by all.
