A RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF

Willie Earl Tindall

WHEREAS Willie Earl Tindall, born in San Augustine, Texas on November 29, 1933, departed from this life on April 18, 2009 in San Augustine, Texas; and

WHEREAS Willie Earl Tindall, attended Stephen F. Austin and University of Texas; and received her B.A., two master's degrees, and doctoral work; and

WHEREAS, Willie Earl Tindall served as a librarian at Stephen F. Austin State, and as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in San Augustine; and

WHEREAS, Willie Earl Tindall was an avid supporter of children and Texas history by founding the San Augustine Junior Historians and the 2004 recipient of Best of East Texas Award; and

WHEREAS, Willie Earl Tindall was a good friend and long-time supporter of the East Texas Historical Association;

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the membership of the East Texas Historical Association laments the passing of this "good and faithful servant" on April 18, 2009, extends sympathy to her family and friends; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Annual Meeting and another presented as is appropriate to the family of Willie Earl Tindall, that they may know of the love and esteem in which she is yet held by all.
