Fall conferences held in October are the centerpiece of ETHA’s collective and collaborative efforts to focus on the history of East Texas.
Early in the year, the ETHA holds a one-day conference at no charge on topics of local and regional interest.

The Georgiana and Max Lale Lecture series is in honor of two giants of Texas history. Each year at the fall conference, ETHA brings top speakers for a dinner meeting. Click here for more information and a list of speakers from the last decade.

The annual New Deal Symposium focuses on this unique period of US history. Typically held in early summer, the one-day meeting is free of charge, Attendees must register in advance. and lunch will be provided. Click here for more information.

This award will be given to the student(s) for the best student session presentation. This award is a cash prize of $100.00. The award will be given at the fall meeting each year. The students will be recognized during the session, and will also be honored at the Saturday Award Luncheon.
