  • Fall conferences held in October are the centerpiece of ETHA’s collective and collaborative efforts to focus on the history of East Texas.

    Early in the year, the ETHA holds a one-day conference at no charge on topics of local and regional interest.

  • The Georgiana and Max Lale Lecture series is in honor of two giants of Texas history. Each year at the fall conference, ETHA brings top speakers for a dinner meeting. Click here for more information and a list of speakers from the last decade.

  • The annual New Deal Symposium focuses on this unique period of US history. Typically held in early summer, the one-day meeting is free of charge, Attendees must register in advance. and lunch will be provided. Click here for more information.

  • This award will be given to the student(s) for the best student session presentation. This award is a cash prize of $100.00.  The award will be given at the fall meeting each year. The students will be recognized during the session, and will also be honored at the Saturday Award Luncheon.
